Missoula MPO staff collaborated with the Land Use Plan team to develop Street Types as part of the Our Missoula 2045 Land Use Plan, advancing a key goal of the 2020 Missoula Connect Long-Range Transportation Plan (LRTP).
Street Types introduce a new approach to street classification, aligning transportation planning with community goals, surrounding land uses, and priority users. This framework defines what streets should look like—and why—helping shape a more connected, safe, and livable Missoula.
